Wichita State Athletics has announced a new and exciting opportunity for loyal fans and supporters to get involved more than ever before with its 2009-2010 Shocker Drive.
Shocker Drive is a grass-roots, volunteer driven program with the purpose to provide assistance and support in raising funds for athletic scholarships at Wichita State. WSU Athletics is making a call to its supporters and their competitive spirits to join with the Shocker Athletic Scholarship Organization and become a Shocker Drive representative.
Volunteers who sign up for Shocker Drive can begin earning points good for exclusive rewards such as all-inclusive airline trips with WSU teams, VIP passes to Shocker events, one-on-one dinners with coaches and student-athletes and many more exciting rewards.
Shocker Drive representatives are asked to use career and personal networks to sign up new SASO members, new supporters of Shocker Athletics and new season ticket holders for men’s/women’s basketball, baseball, volleyball and softball.
SASO has been providing scholarships for WSU student-athletes since 1977. A complete package of information will be given to you once you are accepted as a Shocker Drive Representative. Please contact the SASO office at 978-SASO (7276) to become a Shocker Drive Representative today.
Shocker Drive Representatives will receive points for:
- One (1) Shocker Drive Point will be given per new SASO member signed up.
- One (1) Shocker Drive Point will be given per reserved (where applicable) season ticket sold (All Sports).
- One (1) Shocker Drive Point will be given per $100 raised towards SASO (e.g., If you sign up a Bold Gold member at $1,130 you will receive 11 Shocker Drive Points).
- One (1) Shocker Drive Point will be given per $100 raised for additional support an existing SASO member gives. (e.g., if current SASO member is a Century Club member at $445 and becomes Bold Gold member at $1,130 with your influence you will receive six (6) Shocker Drive Points).
- Points will make you eligible for great rewards.
Rewards will be given to:
- Representative with most point total
- Representative with most dollars raised
- Representative with most new memberships acquired
- Representative with most season tickets generated
- Representative with most increases generated in donations from current SASO members
