Wichita State was such an attractive option to me because of it’s unwavering commitment to winning Missouri Valley Championships. The athletic department’s championship commitment has undoubtedly trickled down to the track and field teams, creating a team environment that I could not ignore as a recruit. The memories of competition, camaraderie and travel will forever be a part of me and in turn I will forever be grateful to those who made those things possible.
SASO members make a large impact on my life as a student-athlete. Members provide me with every possible tool to succeed both academically and athletically. Receiving an athletic scholarship from Wichita State is something I will be proud of my entire life. Having the honor of wearing a WSU uniform creates an inner bond between me and the university that lasts a lifetime.
Thank you, SASO donors. I am forever grateful for the life-changing opportunities you have provided me. I honestly think about how lucky I am every time I walk through Charles Koch Arena, Cessna Stadium, or when loading a charter bus for a track meet. Without you I would not be as successful as I am and would not be having the experience of a lifetime.
