WHAT DOES SASO STAND FOR?
SASO stands for Shocker Athletic Scholarship Organization, which is a long name you might forget. Remember this: SASO means scholarships. It supports dreams and provides a solid foundation for a successful future.

WHY GIVE TO SASO?
When you give to SASO you are directly influencing the lives of all 250 student-athletes by giving them the chance to receive a quality college education while participating in Division I intercollegiate athletics. Wichita State is committed to fully funding its athletic scholarships, which means providing the maximum number of scholarships allowed by NCAA regulations for all of its 15 sponsored sports.

DO I HAVE TO BE AN ALUMNUS TO BE A SASO MEMBER?
No, you do not have to be an alumnus of Wichita State to become a SASO member. Many SASO members like to support their hometown team and have a love for Wichita State Athletics.

HOW CAN I MAKE A DONATION?
You can make a donation by calling the SASO office at 316.978.7276 or by going online to wsusaso.com.

IS MY DONATION TAX DEDUCTIBLE?
Yes, your donation to SASO is tax-deductible as a charitable contribution. Donations that involve priority seating are 80 percent tax-deductable. All gifts are 100 percent rewarding because they assist in the future success of WSU student-athletes. It is recommended that you consult your tax advisor regarding any charitable gift.

WHAT DOES SASO PROVIDE AND WHERE DOES MY CONTRIBUTION GO?
SASO provides the academic funding for student-athletes at Wichita State. The contribution goes toward the student-athlete’s education because the athletic department literally writes a check to the university to pay for tuition, books, fees, room and board.
