Mission Statement
To provide the Wichita State Athletic Department’s coaches and staff with the resources that will enable
them to represent the university and competitively recruit against other area and regional athletic
programs.
Wichita State University has tremendous pride in its athletics programs. Shocker Athletics is one of the
windows in which the university and community are viewed. Strong Shocker athletic programs benefit
the Wichita community greatly through regional and national visibility. The Air Force program needs
strategic partnerships within the Wichita community to accomplish its mission.
How the Program Works
Donations provide the athletic department with the necessary resources to achieve its yearly flight goals.
Shocker flight partnerships provide WSU Athletics with a variety of available charter aircraft. The goal of the
department is to raise funds to purchase discounted flight time while providing efficient air travel. This
model purchases flight time from local flight partners keeping the business within the community.

During the past eight years, Shocker Athletics has experienced one of the greatest success periods in its history. This renaissance period has positively affected the program in many areas, including sports program development, facilities, finances, academics and integrity. Shocker athletic programs are now viewed on a national scale. The Shocker Air Force continues the effort to provide our coaches and staff with the opportunities needed to represent the University and compete nationally for student-athletes.

- Two (2) complimentary spots in the Gregg Marshall golf tournament
$20,000 and above yearly gift
Includes all of the benefits above as well as:
- Two (2) complimentary MVC Basketball and Baseball tournament all session passes
- One (1) complimentary team (foursome) in the Gregg Marshall golf tournament
- Priority ticketing to all NCAA post-season events
- One complimentary admission to Shocker summer sports camps

Private Aircraft Use
The multiple types of private aircraft that are available for Shocker coaches and staff allow for a greater range of mobility. Each flight is tailored to the needs of the coach or staff member and the appropriate type of plane is used. While most Shocker coaches are recruiting within the region, private flights nationally are needed during heavy recruiting periods. Charter flights can provide excellent value and often operate nonstop in markets where scheduled flights would be less direct. They also enable the optimum utilization of time, maximize the productivity by saving valuable time and ensure confidentiality.
