A Guidebook to NCAA Regulations
Dear Shocker Supporter,
Thank you for your continued support of Wichita State University. I am proud and excited about our future because of your strong support of Shocker athletics.
Our objective is to provide quality programs having high integrity. As a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) we are committed to compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations. As part of that commitment, we are accountable for the actions of our “representatives of athletic interests,” or supporters.
This handbook is an excellent reference regarding the guidelines for conduct of our supporters. It is not comprehensive to all situations that may occur, so we encourage you to call the Athletic Director’s Office if you have questions.
It is important to have informed supporters regarding NCAA and MVC rules as a component of a strong compliance plan with the goal of avoiding NCAA violations and sanctions that could be detrimental to the University and its athletic programs.
