As part of the 4th Annual Gregg Marshall Auction a trip to Kansas City for a Royals game with coach Marshall was auctioned off. The winning bidders won a suite at the Royals game vs. the Chicago White Sox. The auction was held on May 1st as part of the major fundraiser for the men’s basketball program. The trip was purchased by Tony & Sherly Weatherbee and Brad & Phyllis McKibbin during the live auction. The couples brought along other Shocker supporters who were able to enjoy a beautiful evening at Kaufmann Stadium with coach Marshall. The group had travel accommodations donated by Prestige Charter who took them up to Kansas City and brought them back to Wichita.
“This is always a fun and exciting trip with some of our biggest Shocker supporters. We all had a great time and we look forward to doing it again next year.” said Matt Baty, Assistant Athletic Director of Development/Annual Giving.
This is the second year the Royals suite has been donated by Dave Johnson and former Royal Brian McRae even stopped by to say hello to everyone in attendance.
